GAlib is continually evolving, and it could use your input. Here are some of the items on the 'to do' list for GAlib. If you would like to see something implemented that is not on this list, please send in your suggestion.

• Implement dynamic_cast and/or RTTI
• Implement exceptions (with option to use GAlib without exceptions)
• Implement a pooled memory allocator to reduce fragmentation when creating/destroying many populations.
• Define and implement a data file format for GAlib for starting and restarting runs from files.

The 2.4.x tree is officially in maintenance mode. I expect to make a 2.4.4 release which fixes all of the compiler warnings (and thus makes the library fully type-safe). I will continue to release bug fixes, but I do not plan to add any new features. This does not mean you cannot add them yourself (you have the source code, after all :)
